#87 - ARRIVING
People do not arrive on your path due to some cosmic chain of predetermined circumstances.
They are created by yourself to learn to feel, to see, to love.
You choose what type of people you want in your life.
I stop and ask myself why certain people are in my reality. Do I ever consider myself lucky or fortunate to have "so and so" for a friend? I consider myself fortunate to have my life-partner. I also consider myself unlucky because numerous different, and not so pleasant people, cause me endless grief. Saying I am lucky and/or unlucky is giving away my power. It allows me to become a victim, the victim of luck, be it good or bad luck.
The people in my life, without exception, are there because I attracted them. Each person who crosses my path is there for only one reason. They are there to assist me in becoming the loving spirit I know I am. Let me explain.
First, look at the type of people with whom you enjoy being. These are people who support you, believe in you, and trust you. These people have come to assist you in seeing who you are. You create these people by asking consciously or unconsciously, to have love, friendship, and intimacy. The people you attract to yourself are manifestations of your thoughts, and beliefs. These friends are your choice. These friends and lovers, based on your belief system, are the best friends for you at this time. They are not gifts from the Universe. They are manifestations from you.
Second, look at the type of people you would rather erase from your life. These are people with whom you come in conflict. They offend, humiliate, anger, and embarrass you. These people are also present to assist you. Again, you created these people by asking consciously or unconsciously, to have people assist you in moving forward. These people mirror back to you all the weaknesses you perceive to have yourself. It is as if you could take a fear or negative belief and project it from inside you. What you end up with is the person you would rather not be with, you literally manifest your fears and attract people who show you those fears.
So, don't kill the messenger! When you find yourself in disharmony with another, take a note pad; write down what you do not like about them. Now realize these qualities reside in you and this messenger is making it clear to you. Now, you have the opportunity to remove these unwanted qualities from yourself. This could be in the form of forgiveness, autosuggestion, affirmations, or whatever works for you. Just turn it around. Then the miracle happens. If you manage not to fight the messenger and do some inner cleansing, you will find the pain-in-the-butt person simply vanishes from your life. It is that simple. If the messenger hangs around, you haven't cleaned it all up yet.
About the Universe's role in this. The Universe is not sending you miserable, unhappy, controlling people to test you. The Universe is not setting you up. The Universe has not decided on such and such a day, in such and such a year - it is going to introduce you to a very difficult person. You decide who is in your life by your thoughts, beliefs, and actions. You control your reality.
